Trip to the Norwegian Game Awards

The past week has been rather eventful! Shortly after Ludum Dare, I travelled across the country to the wonderful city of Trondheim, where some of my prototypes where showcased for the public. All of the nominated games in this years NGA were present, and it was a joyful experience.

There were no awards for me this year, but it was a truly positive experience. Never before has it been such a delight to stand still for a whole day, and just enjoy the look of hundreds of eager faces playing the crap out of your very own game! As scary as it is with public “playtest sessions” like this, it went beyond all expectations.

And of course, a big congratulations to the winners! The game development scene in Norway is gradually getting bigger and more sophisticated.
